Gas integration between Argentina and Brazil - Opportunities and challenges for regional energy cooperation

April, 2024

In a context of growing concern about climate change, the transition to renewable energy sources becomes imperative. Natural gas emerges as a crucial alternative, in this transition, due to its lower environmental impact. With its vast resources, Argentina positions itself as a key player in gas supply, with both regional and global impact.

The relationship between Argentina and Brazil acquires a new dimension in this scenario. Brazil, facing great challenges in its traditional energy sources, seeks a permanent gas supply to complement its domestic production. This paper explores the prospects of this gas integration and the possible options for the supply of this resource. (In Spanish)
