In the first four months of 2025 exports reached USD 25.4 billion (a 5.8% growth with respect to the same period of 2024) while imports amounted to USD 24.1 billion (a 35.7% y-o-y increase). The trade balance recorded a surplus of USD 1.3 billion.

The Centre for International Economy (CEI), under the authority of the Secretariat for International Economic Relations, was created in 1987 and is comprised of a staff of economists and professionals from related areas, with a strong specialization in international economics, international trade and trade negotiations.
