Matías Mauricio

Matías Mauricio is a teacher, poet, editor, and a leading figure in contemporary tango lyrics. He is a Full Academic Member of the National Tango Academy, where he serves as Secretary of Institutional Relations, and a member of the Buenos Aires Lunfardo Academy. He is also a lecturer in Argentina and abroad. He is part of the Buenos Aires Tango Educational Center (CETBA) and a researcher in the Tango Department of the Centro Cultural de la Cooperación. He teaches in the Tango Diploma program at the University of Buenos Aires (FCE) and at CETBA. He has published several books, including Bandoneón Blindado (2010), Tango post 2001: estallido social y nuevas poéticas (2012), and works on Homero Expósito and Julián Centeya
