Mariposita de San Telmo

Mariposita de San Telmo is a hotel within a tango school. Its hotel is housed in a century-old building that combines history and modernity, with all rooms offering art and comfort. Located in the iconic neighborhood of San Telmo, in a house declared a historical heritage site of the City of Buenos Aires. Guests can enjoy regular and private classes, seminars, masterclasses, professional training, artistic residencies, immersive stays, and dynamic cultural experiences that always include artistic interventions and tango classes, history, and local delights: Mateando, Los porteños y el café, Vinos y tangos, Asado de Autor. These classes follow the Bonaventura®️ Method, a spiral system for transmitting tango dance as both art and culture, from its essence. Its mission is to make the invisible visible, helping students develop a musical, aware, available, and authentic body capable of merging in the embrace and reinterpreting themselves in relation to others. Tango is understood as instant art, a dance of improvisation and absolute creation, in a continuous and spontaneous dialogue. It is a mother-and-daughter venture, two artists sharing their vision of this wonderful city.
