Color Tango has been one of the leading figures in the tango scene since 1990. The orchestra was formed in 1989 by Roberto Álvarez, who was the first bandoneonist and arranger for Osvaldo Pugliese, along with other musicians. They made a successful debut in the Netherlands, launching numerous tours across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, including three trips to Japan. In Argentina, they perform on the main stages, and their danceable repertoire makes them highly sought after at milongas. They have also ventured into the symphonic format. They have released 11 recordings and have been declared of Cultural Interest by the Secretariat of Culture of the Argentine Nation.
