To mark the end of Argentina's Presidency Pro Tempore of MERCOSUR, the Summit of Heads of State of MERCOSUR and Associate Members will be held in the city of Mendoza on 21 July 2017.
To such end, Argentina’s President, Mauricio Macri, has invited his MERCOSUR and Associate Members counterparts to participate in the event. As on previous occasions, special guests will also attend.
The 50th General Meeting of the Council of the Common Market, in which the Foreign Ministers and other Ministers of the MERCOSUR Member States and Associate Members will participate, will be held prior to the Summit of Heads of State.
In addition, there will be meetings of bodies and forums of the institutional structure of MERCOSUR, such as the 48th Special Meeting of the Common Market Group, the 85th General Meeting of the Political Agreement and Consultation Forum and preparatory meetings.
The Summit of Heads of State of MERCOSUR and Associate Members will serve as an opportunity to assess the progress made during Argentina´s Presidency Pro Tempore and to evaluate the necessary courses of action to continue working on strengthening integration and regional development.
