Argentine Foreign Minister Susana Malcorra and the Executive Director of the Argentine Social Security Administration (ANSES), Emilio Basavilbaso, signed a Cooperation Agreement today at the Palacio San Martín. The purpose of the Agreement is to facilitate administrative procedures for pensioners who live abroad.
“This Agreement is another example of the way in which different government areas are working: focusing on team work and on finding ways to integrate the different areas and to solve people’s problems together,” said Malcorra, referring to the Agreement signed between ANSES and the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship.
The Agreement will speed up the processing of life certificates for beneficiaries of Argentine pensions who live abroad. As from the implementation of the Agreement, the beneficiary will be able to request a life certificate at the relevant Argentine Consular Office, where it will be prepared and forwarded to ANSES electronically without delay. This new mechanism will simplify the current procedure and significantly improve the public services provided to both Argentine nationals and foreigners who have worked in and made a contribution to our country.
