The Argentine Foreign Ministry convened a foreign ministers’ meeting that was held at the Palacio San Martín with the aim of discussing the policies and plans promoted by Argentina in the field of renewable energy.
The meeting was presided over by the Secretary for International Economic Relations, Horacio Reyser, the Undersecretary for Renewable Energy, Sebastián Kind, and the Undersecretary for Commercial Promotion and Investment Development, Marcelo Lucco.
Reyser highlighted the new business environment prevailing in the country, putting special emphasis on its clear rules and the characteristics of the Argentine public-private participation law as a tool to facilitate investment.
Kind gave details on the progress made up to now at the different stages of the RenovAR Plan, underscoring the federal scope of the programme and the safeguarding mechanisms it offers.
The meeting was attended by representatives of Australia, Austria, Germany, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Chile, China, Denmark, United Arab Emirates, Spain, United States, Finland, India, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Peru, Portugal, Qatar, United Kingdom, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland and Uruguay.
The abovementioned representatives made comments and enquiries about energy projects in Argentina, unanimously stressing the interest expressed by companies in their respective countries within the framework of the economic measures and the ambitious infrastructure plan Argentina has been developing.
