The White Helmets Commission of the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs participated in the launching of the School of Leaders for the Community, an educational initiative organized jointly with “Red Solidaria” and the River Plate Athletic Club. With the motto of creating a space for incumbents that in the social, sports, artistic, technological and scientific fields help the future training of leaders, this project, which gathers people that inspire and work for and together with the recipients, was presented in the Club Auditorium. Mr. Juan Carr, social Worker and founder of the Solidarity Net made the presentation. The panel was composed of Rodolfo D’Onofrio, Chairman of River Plate; Father José “Pepe” Di Paola, a priest in the La Cárcova emergency village; the Rabbi Daniel Goldman; Carlos "Chapa" Retegui, trainer of the Argentine men’s hockey team and Alejandro Daneri, White Helmets Commission Chairman. This gathering brought forth different social actions to be carried out as well as the sharing of experiences, testimonies and reflections within the panel of speakers. White Helmets made available the showing of a drawings and photographs exposition based on humanitarian assistance, which was put together in May 2016 in a Syrian refugee camp in Lebanon.
