The White Helmets Commission of the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship condemns the unjustified attacks occurred last September 19th., 2016, against humanitarian assistance convoys belonging to the UN and to the Syrian Arab Red Crescent in Orem Al Kubra in the outskirts of the city of Aleppo. Those unacceptable attacks took the lives of twenty-one civilians and humanitarian workers and produced serious damage to Syrian Arab Red Crescent warehouses and a health clinic. There can be no justification to explain the endangerment of humanitarian workers and the damage to installations devoted to the care and relief of conflict victims.
White Helmets urges all involved parties to the strict observance and application of International Humanitarian Law which clearly safeguard the protection of humanitarian organizations in the fulfillment of their duties and the right of all persons to receive humanitarian assistance.
