SPUTNIK

Sputnik is more of a space for experimentation and curatorial projects than a traditional contemporary art gallery. It was founded in 2013 as a seedbed and incubator with the aim of showcasing the work of emerging artists. Sputnik collaborates with a select group of mid-career Argentine artists who share aesthetic affinities with the project, adopting material minimalism as the aesthetic theme. It is focused on various forms of abstraction through installations, and three-dimensional and site-specific artworks. It has participated in fairs since 2013 and has already taken part in the Feria arteBA in the City of Buenos Aires seven times.
