In solidarity with Caribbean countries, Argentina insists on vaccines as global public good

“We encourage vaccine suppliers to meet the demand of these countries, which although having the funds to purchase the vaccines that they urgently require to address their current pressing health needs, are denied access to them because they do not offer a large enough purchase volume to satisfy companies that sell them,” the Minister stated.

Within this context, he reiterated the call for the international community to consider COVID vaccines a global public good.

“Argentina will continue making every effort in all fora to draw attention to the vulnerability of developing countries during this global pandemic, which we will only overcome together,” Solá stated.
