Solá and Brazil’s new Foreign Minister highlighted the importance of bilateral relations

Foreign Minister Felipe Solá spoke with the new Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Carlos Alberto Franco França, and they agreed on the importance of enhancing and diversifying bilateral relations between both countries.

The new Brazilian Foreign Minister called Solá to greet him and conveyed his openness to address all the issues on the agenda between both countries while he is the head of Brazilian diplomacy. França stressed the importance that Brazil attaches to the relationship with Argentina.

During the conversation, Solá and França reviewed the regional agenda, the relations between Mercosur Member States and the foreign relations of the regional bloc.

Both Ministers agreed to cooperate on border issues in the context of the pandemic to guarantee trade flows, and they committed to swiftly respond to any issues that may arise in connection with land transport of goods at the borders.

Foreign Minister Solá thanked his Brazilian counterpart for the call and expressed his satisfaction with their conversation.
