The Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship, Diana Mondino, has accepted the resignation of the Secretary of Foreign Affairs, Leopoldo Sahores, who will be replaced by Eduardo Bustamante, currently serving as Consul General of the Argentine Republic in Montevideo.
Eduardo Bustamante is a member of the Argentine Foreign Service with a distinguished diplomatic career. He is a lawyer and holds a degree in political science and postgraduate studies in international security. He has served in the Argentine embassies in Angola and Pakistan and his professional experience also includes the coordination of border issues and international negotiations on critical issues such as terrorism and transnational organized crime.
Foreign Minister Mondino is especially grateful and appreciative of the work carried out by Ambassador Leopoldo Sahores, as well as the dedication, professionalism and commitment with which he carried out his responsibilities at this stage of her tenure.
At the same time, she is pleased to appoint as Secretary of Foreign Affairs a person with a solid professional career as a diplomat and with experience in relevant issues to assume a role that involves great responsibility.
