Foreign Minister Diana Mondino held a working meeting today with Matteo Mattei, Vice President of Institutional Affairs and Corporate Communications at Ferrero Group, an Italian agri-food company founded in 1946 and specialized in the production and distribution of chocolates and confectionery items, such as Nutella, Tic Tac, Kinder and Ferrero Rocher, among others.
During the meeting, Minister Mondino and the executive of the Ferrero Group highlighted the presence of more than 30 years of the Group in Argentina as an example of the trust that foreign companies place in the potential for economic growth of our country. In addition, Mattei explained that the Group's presence in the country has grown over the years, having begun in the distribution sector and then expanded with an export plant located in the province of Buenos Aires and another hazelnut exploitation plant located in Viedma, Rio Negro.
At the end of the meeting, Argentina’s top diplomat conveyed to the Ferrero manager her confidence that the Government's measures aimed at stabilizing the economy and promoting investments will allow the Group to renew its expectations and further expand its presence in Argentina.
Ferrero Group is present in more than 150 countries and is the third company in the production and marketing of sweets and chocolates worldwide. It has operated in Argentina since 1993 and besides the aforementioned plant in Río Negro, in 1996 it opened its Kinder egg production plant in Los Cardales (Exaltación de la Cruz) in order to supply the domestic and export markets.
