The Secretary for International Economic Relations, Marcelo Cima, together with the Secretary of Mining, Luis Lucero, and the Secretary of Energy, Eduardo Rodríguez Chirillo, met with a Delegation from the United States visiting our country, led by the Undersecretary of Economic Growth, Energy and Environment of the United States Department of State, José W. Fernández, for the launch of an Energy Security Dialogue. The US Ambassador to our country, Marc Stanley, as well as other high officials from the Department of State and the Department of Energy participated in the meeting.
The Dialogue, held at the San Martín Palace, seeks to establish cooperative solutions that reinforce the security of energy supply, the planning and growth of Argentina’s electricity system, and the expansion of critical minerals and supply chains that integrate clean energy. It will continue through annual meetings in Buenos Aires and Washington, alternately.
In addition, the participating authorities developed a roadmap that will allow analyzing the progress and results of projects and programs to be applied by both countries, with the participation of the private sector as well.
