Today, a working meeting with a delegation of the French Department of Vienne was held at the Palacio San Martín, with a view to strengthening the cooperation on several fields between Argentina and the French region.
The French delegation, headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Commission of Foreign Affairs, Large Projects and European Funds of the Department of Vienne, Guillaume de Russé, will also visit the Province of Jujuy as from tomorrow in order to discuss various projects which are part of the Decentralized Cooperation Programme carried out by the General Directorate for Cooperation of the Argentine Foreign Ministry.
Regarding the healthcare sector, these projects include the exchange of health professionals and the transfer of medical equipment and computer software to upgrade the Provincial Cancer Institute of Jujuy. In terms of civil defence, the French Development Agency (AFD) will fund a joint project between firefighters from the Province of Jujuy and Vienne.
